1. What Information We Analyze

• Installed app list (package name, permissions)
• Permissions requested by apps
• System behaviors (e.g. hidden apps, device admin access)
• Local scan history and change logs

2. How We Use This Information

• To detect potential spyware or malicious apps on your device
• To alert you if apps request sensitive permissions
• To identify hidden apps or apps with suspicious behavior
• To generate AI-based analysis of app behavior and permissions

3. AI Content and In-App Reporting

WatchDog includes an AI-powered analysis feature to help users understand app risks and behaviors. If you believe any AI-generated response is inaccurate, unsafe, or offensive, you can report it directly from within the app using the "Report AI Content" button. All reports are sent securely to our support team for review in accordance with Google Play’s AI content moderation policy. No sensitive device data or user identity is shared unless you choose to include your email in the report form.

4. Data Retention and Storage

WatchDog does not upload or store your data online. All scan results and logs are stored securely on your device and can be cleared at any time.

5. Data Sharing

WatchDog does not share your app list, permissions, or usage data with any third-party. AI queries are anonymized if external analysis is used (Mistral or Gemini). AI report submissions are only sent to the WatchDog support team and never shared or sold.

6. Permissions Required

• Package Access: To read app metadata and permissions
• Query All Packages: To detect hidden/suspicious apps
• Camera, Contacts, Location: Not used by WatchDog itself — only analyzed if another app requests them
• Overlay: For alert display (optional)
• Biometrics: For secure app access
